Battlefield Experience Arras Tour

0930hrs to 2145hrs
Picking up at Arras railway station. The area around Ypres saw significant events all through the War and your day will include visits to much of the battlefields, including the site of the Christmas Day Truce in 1914, Tyne Cot Cemetery and the Passchendaele battlefields, and concludes with an attendance at the Last Post Ceremony at The Menin Gate. Drop off at Lille or Arras.

“This is one of the best tours I have ever had the good luck to be a part of. Former grenadier Rod Bedford is a polymath not just on WWI but on just about any war that's ever been. His ability to seamlessly move from the big picture to the tiniest of details, and from the barbarity of war to its absurdly funny, is second to none. Ably backed by his wife Jackie, I wholeheartedly recommend this tour not just for those with a passing interest in WWI history but for those who think they know all about it. Rod will make you think again.”
